Robot Welding Programmer

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for efficiently creating and developing programs, including input on fixture design. 

  • Ability to modify and improve existing programs.

  • Troubleshoot error codes and faults. 

  • Maintain and services robots as needed to ensure maximum production time. 

  • Responsible for developing welding processes, weld schedule and weld validation. 

  • Backup and secure robot programs. 

  • Effectively change robot over to weld aluminum or steel. 

  • Maintain robot documentation, daily robot operator sign off sheet and maintenance log. 

  • Responsible for and reports the quality of work, production efficiency, time management and safety for the robot.

  • Collaborates work schedule and workflow with supervisor.

  • Over sees that the job travelers are followed and filled out correctly to reflect robot process

 

 

Qualifications and Physical Demands:

  • College degree, or completion of skilled trade’s course. 

  • Three (3) years’ experience with robotics.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch.

  • The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds
