Level Two Welder
Specific Responsibilities:
Level 1 requirements have been met.

Suggest and explain to supervisor improvements in operations.

Strong understanding in blue print reading, strong understanding of geometric tolerance interpretation.

Comprehensive understanding of welding procedure specifications (WPS) and the ability to set up and make adjustments to welding machine.

Before welding, welder must interpret the parts design from blueprints Or drawings and also have a comprehensive understanding of welding symbols.

Ability to troubleshoot problems and make adjustments as needed. Also perform quality checks on finished products to make sure dimensions and other criteria conform to specifications.

Able to understand different types of fabricating tools, equipment, welding gauges need to achieve drawing requirements.

Self-dependent, able to think thru day to day operations.

Notify supervision of maintenance problems.

Conform to the company’s culture of quality, service and continuous improvement.

Ability to pass required weld test (2G Horizontal Groove Weld Test).
Qualifications and Physical Demands:

High School Diploma

Weld courses either in high school or through skilled trade or college.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch.

The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds
