Cignys

Cignys has acquired a collection of military Mobilizers/Dolly Sets to aid in the design of new and replacement units. The mobilizers are all in good working condition and have been very useful in documenting the existing technology that is in use with military units around the world.

M1022A1 Mobilizer

M720 Mobilizer

The M720 Mobilizer is a small mobilizer that was designed to connect to S-280 Shelters and specially configured pallets. The shelter or pallet must have lower fittings and bolting pads on the ends of the load. Cignys manufactured 450 of these units during the early 1980’s. They have also been built by Gichner, Southwest Mobile Systems, and Eastern Manufacturing for TACOM. They have reached the end of their useful life and are not used to transport any new systems.

The M832 Mobilizer is a larger mobilizer that was designed to connect to heavier S-280 Shelters and specially configured pallets. The shelter or pallet must have lower fittings and bolting pads on the ends of the load. They have been built by Gichner, Kasel and Turtle Mountain for TACOM. They have reached the end of their useful life and are not used to transport any new systems. The CIGNYS S-280 Shelter Mobilizer is now used to replace these units.

The M1022 Mobilizer is a heavy duty mobilizer that was designed to connect to ISO Shelters. Gichner Shelter Systems built over 1000 of these units during the 1980’s and early 1990’s. When the TACOM procurement contact was awarded to Datron in 1993, manufacture of this model was discontinued. They are still in use with active and reserve military units.
